Nicola Petaccia Architecture is an Italian practice with a multidisciplinary approach to Architecture, Urban Design and Interior Design.
The aim is to generate an Architecture that evolves through concepts, as a series of built ideas. The projects combine the various scales from landscape and urban planning to interior and exhibition design, the work is influenced by a continuously dialogue and interaction between these different disciplines. The design philosophy is driven by the ambition of innovative thinking and creativity through new technologies.

 

Nicola Petaccia obtained the Master Degree in Architecture at Politecnico di Milano, theme of the Thesis has been the public space redevelopment of the Petržalka, a socialist district built in Bratislava in the 70s. In 2017 achieved the PhD Degree at School of Advanced Studies “G. d’Annunzio” in Pescara with the Thesis’ theme “Retrofitting Post-Socialist Landscapes” a research work developed between the two Universities. Since 2013 he is Assistant of Architectural Theory and Practice and Design Studio at School of Architecture Urban Planning Construction Engineering, Politecnico di Milano. He is also collaborator of the International research platform EstLab that is interdisciplinary on-line research network interest in mutual relation between architecture and ideology in Eastern Europe with particular focus on Post-communist condition, heritage protection and urban renewal and transformations.
